Where did October go?! I’m sad to say it’s over, but want to share how we spent the last night of October – Halloween. The Boss told me weeks ago that he wanted to be a streetlight for Halloween…he’s slightly obsessed with them and even had a streetlight birthday cake. My husband and mother-in-law (an engineer & interior designer, respectively) designed and constructed the costume. And, it literally stopped traffic. We had people pulling over in their cars all night asking how we put it together, working lights and all. The Boss was adorable, got lots of attention, and came home with enough candy to last through Christmas. I’m sad to see October end, but seeing The Boss on Halloween, in a costume he dreamed up himself, made the end of my favorite month more bearable. Hope you and yours had a very happy Halloween as well – and here’s to the upcoming Holiday season!

The Best Little Pumpkin Patch in Colorado

If you live in or around the Denver area, I want to tell you about the best “pumpkin patch” in town: Nick’s Garden Center. Nick’s is currently having its 2009 Fall Festival. My mother-in-law and I took The Boss to the Festival over the weekend and there was so much to do and see for kids. It had pumpkins galore, jumping castles, hayrides, a straw maze, fresh popped popcorn, and much, much more. We had a ball while we were there and plan to go back very soon for more pumpkins, fresh roasted Hatch chilies, and garden-fresh produce. Admission is free and most rides only cost $1.00. So get out to Nick’s Garden Center’s 2009 Fall Festival while it lasts! See below for Nick’s address, directions, and special coupons!
